Police officers are looking for a man who fired a handgun during a robbery of an east Tulsa  grocery store late Wednesday.

Officers said the man walked into El Mercadito at 21st and Garnett just after 9 p.m.

He demanded money from the clerk then fired a shot into a water cooler. Once he got the cash he ran out and got into a four-door dark-colored car and drove away.

Tulsa Police believe the same man robbed a bakery at Admiral and Garnett earlier Wednesday evening.

Officers said neither the El Mercadito store clerk nor anyone at the bakery was injured.

Police say the robber is a Hispanic male, 5'11" tall and wearing a blue bandana.

Tulsa Police ask anyone with information about either robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
