Cleveland Firefighters Respond To Tank Battery Fire

Cleveland fire crews were called in after neighbors reported hearing an explosion at a tank battery just north of town near Highway 99 at about 4 a.m. Friday.

Fire Chief Ryan Murray said the tank battery was fully involved with fire when his crews arrived. They cooled it down with foam.

Murray said mutual aid from Osage and Hominy departments helped them bring the fire under control after about 20 minutes. He said because the tank battery vented itself, there was no danger to area homes.
