Tulsa Police Seek Driver After Finding Wrecked SUV

Tulsa Police officers look for the driver of a Mercury Mariner which was found crashed into a utility pole early Thursday.

Officers were called to the intersection of Canton and Xyler at about 12:45 a.m.

They said it appeared the SUV was going north on Canton and turned right onto Xyler striking the pole. The driver then apparently ran away.

Police said after a search of the SUV, they believe the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

No word on if the driver was injured in the crash.

Police said the utility pole was cracked by the impact.
