New York City Port Authority Police say a woman with a criminal past in Oklahoma was arrested over the weekend after they say she randomly assaulted an 80-year-old man.
Police said Danika Riley, 40, was arrested when two officers pulled her off the elderly man at a bus terminal near Times Square.
Oklahoma court records show Riley has an extensive criminal history with convictions out of Washington and Oklahoma counties on convictions for assault and battery on a police officer, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and escape from prison.
New York authorities say Riley was charged with assault and drug possession after they found a crack pipe on her during her arrest. The victim from New Jersey was treated at the scene for head and upper body injuries.
Oklahoma prison records show she was released in 2007.
