Downtown Sand Springs To Get New Hotel

A City of Sand Springs-owned business development will soon break ground on a new Holiday Inn Express hotel.

The new prototype hotel will be located in the 30-acre RiverWest project on the southeast corner of Highway 412 and Highway 97.

City officials say the RiverWest development is the cornerstone of a plan to encourage business to locate between the downtown area and the Arkansas River to the south.

"Both the city council and administration are excited about how the RiverWest project is moving forward and about the Holiday Inn Express hotel that Andy Patel's Anish Hotels Group (AHG) is building in Sand Springs," Mike Burdge, Mayor of Sand Springs said.

The RiverWest development already has an International House of Pancakes, a CVS Pharmacy and a relocated O'Reilly Auto Parts store.
