Two Arrested In Claremore Standoff

A stand off ended without incident in Claremore on Saturday.

Claremore police said two people broke into a house near 12th and Faulkner around 11 a.m. A Claremore police officer saw activity at the home which he knew to be vacant - because the owner was in jail.

Police said Candace Marshall came out on her own, but they had to use tear gas to force out Mathew Smalley.

Marshall, 24, was booked into Rogers County Jail on complaints of second degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance and two unspecified municipal charges.

The 29-year-old Smalley was booked on complaints of second degree burglary, two municipal charges and an outstanding warrant.
