A Tulsa teen pleaded guilty to his role in a 2012 Joplin murder and burglary Monday.

Elijah Taylor, 18, entered his plea to second-degree murder and burglary during a court hearing in Joplin.

KOAM TV, the CBS affiliate in Joplin says the agreement caps Taylor's possible prison time to no more than 15 years.

Joplin Police said Taylor was among five young men who entered a home in July 2012. They said the five were looking for drugs when 23-year-old Jacob Wages was shot and killed.

In January, another Tulsa man, Daniel Hartman, 18, the presumed shooter was found guilty of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and burglary.

He is scheduled to be sentenced March 31, 2014.
