Weather experts from around the country are in Oklahoma for the annual National Tornado Summit. About 1,100 participants from 24 states are here, hoping to learn from past tragedies.

They're talking about ways to better protect lives and better prepare for a tornado outbreak. They'll also looking at ways to better recover when a disaster does strike.

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin spoke at the summit Monday.

"One of the things we were talking about was the Moore tornado and the lessons learned," she said. "How can we help warn our communities that bad weather is on the way, what do we do once it does hit, how can we better coordinate our services."

One of the day's featured speakers was a daycare owner in Moore who had her business operating again just three weeks after it was destroyed.
