Tulsa Boy Dies After Being Hit By Car While Walking To Bus Stop

The Tulsa Police Department says a nine-year-old boy struck while walking west on Mohawk Boulevard early Wednesday has died.

The department says it was notified Ethan Lewis was pronounced dead at 3:12 a.m. Thursday at a Tulsa hospital.

Officers said Lewis was walking in the middle of the road in the 2800 block of Mohawk Boulevard when he was struck by a westbound car just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.

Tulsa Police said there was no indication the driver was doing anything improper. It was dark and the driver told officers she just didn't see Lewis until it was too late.
