Dozens of Tulsans are on the road to healthier, fitter lifestyles with the help of Fleet Feet and 52 Fitness. The Blue Dome District businesses held an open house today to kick off their "Ton of Fun" challenge.
It's a 12-week program that helps people lose weight, but there is a bigger goal. Organizers want Green Country to lose 2,000 pounds - or one ton - together.
"That's what all of us feed off of is helping each other and motivating each other," said participant Scott Bollin. "That's one of the motivators to keep running and keep doing the cross training."
Lorie Dreiling, Co-Owner: "We're honestly tired of Oklahoma being on the top of the obesity lists nationally," said Lorie Dreiling, co-owner of Fleet Feet and 52 Fitness. "So we took a personal goal that we really want to see our community get out, get active, and get healthy."
Folks have all week to sign up at Fleet Feet or 52 Fitness. It's fifty dollars, but we're you could win some of it back in prizes and gift cards.
