Despite the significant warm up in temperatures Tuesday, Green Country residents will want to stay weather aware Wednesday with the possibility of freezing drizzle.
Temperatures are expected to get a few degrees above freezing, with some patchy light rain developing by afternoon, WARN Team Meteorologist Dick Faurot said in his weather blog.
Some freezing drizzle or light freezing rain is expected Wednesday evening and overnight. Since soil temperatures are around freezing as well, the precipitation could cause travel problems as temperatures and the sun goes down.

"A stronger system aloft will be moving across the state Friday, but by then the temperature profile at the surface and aloft will be warm enough for a cold rain event and all the precipitation should be liquid," Faurot said.
"Totals could approach an inch as this looks to be a very wet system."
The forecast for the weekend looks good, and most of next week should be relatively mild and dry, he said.
