Tulsa Police questioned three men in connection with at least four armed robberies Wednesday night.

Officers said the robberies happened at locations in south Tulsa and each time a man armed with a handgun approached the victim and demanded cash.

Captain Mike Eckert says the robber hit some of the victims in the head with the gun, but none was seriously injured.

Officers were looking for a Chevy Malibu connected to the robberies when an officer saw it near 60th Place and South Utica Wednesday night.

Three men inside jumped out and ran away. Police caught up with two immediately and found the third a short time later.

At first police said the three men were arrested, but on Thursday morning they said they questioned the men then released them.

Police say the items taken in the robberies included wallets, purses and cell phones.
