Woman Killed In Rollover Wreck On U.S. Highway 169 In Tulsa

One person was killed and another critically injured in a Tulsa rollover wreck Sunday afternoon.

Police say the driver of a Chevy Trailblazer lost control of the SUV on northbound Highway 169 near 51st Street in Tulsa Sunday afternoon.

Reports indicate that a blue car cut in front of the SUV, and the driver swerved to avoid a collision. He overcorrected and left the highway.

Both driver and passenger were ejected in the rollover wreck. Police say they weren't wearing seat belts.

The passenger, 20-year-old Samantha Ruvalcaba, died at a Tulsa hospital. The driver is reportedly in critical condition.

"If it is the car we have the information on, the witness said the car slowed down so much the witness had to stop avoid hitting them and then the vehicle drove off and then the vehicle slowed down that's when the witness got a tag number," TPD Sgt. Stephen Boyes said.
