Aunt Charged With Murder In Death Of Two Children In Tulsa Apartment Fire

The aunt of the two girls who died after a Tulsa apartment fire has been charged with two counts of second degree murder in commission of felony child neglect.

The Tulsa County District Attorney's Office filed the charges against Miashah Moses, 23, Tuesday.

A fire broke out at the London Square apartments at 59th and South Lewis on November 18. Moses was arrested the next day.

Tulsa fire investigators said Miashah Moses was babysitting 18-month-old Nylah Moses and 4-year-old Noni Moses when a cooking fire quickly engulfed the apartment.  Both children died at a Tulsa hospital. Investigators say Miashah Moses left the children alone in the apartment before the fire started.

Moses remains in the Tulsa County jail.

The funeral for the two children was Monday afternoon.
