A Tulsa woman was killed walking home from work Friday night, according to Tulsa Police. It happened at about 6:30 p.m. on South Lewis Avenue at 52nd Street, according to Captain Cathy Reynolds, TPD.

Amrawati Ramdihal, 57, was crossing the street when she was struck by a pickup truck going northbound on Lewis. Police believe she was on her way to some nearby apartments.

Ramdihal was taken to St. Francis Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Reynolds said the pickup driver was released with no traffic charges though the investigation continues. Ramdihal was not crossing at the crosswalk, police say.
