Work Begins On Zink Dam In Tulsa

Crews began work Thursday to repair the gates on the Zink Dam.

Crews will use a coffer dam to re-route water around the first gate they'll repair.

Workers will be in the river most of the weekend.

During the project, the Corps of Engineers will drop the river level and Southwest Power will stop generating electricity for the next four days out at Keystone Dam.

The entire project could take up to a year to finish.
