Bartlesville Student Arrested After Loaded Handgun Found In Vehicle

A Bartlesville High School student was arrested on Thursday after school officials found a loaded handgun in a vehicle on campus, police said.

After an investigation, police said the 17-year-old boy had driven his older brother's truck and didn't know the gun was inside, according to police.

Bartlesville police said the boy was released into the custody of his parents, which is typical in non-violent juvenile arrests.
