Tulsa Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the 5800 block of East Tecumseh Street.

It happened in a home north of Pine Street between Yale Avenue and Sheridan Road around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police said a resident of the home and the victim, identified by police as 33-year-old Mark Masingale, got into a fight outside the home.

Officers said the resident went inside, got a shotgun and fired once, killing Masingale. They say he then waited for police to arrive.

Police said Masingale, who does not live at the home, is the son of the resident's girlfriend.

It's the city's 57th homicide of the year.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to News On 6 that the resident's girlfriend is the mother of twins Rebeika and Kayetie Powell, who were two of the victims in the quadruple murder at Fairmont Terrace Apartments in January.

Officers said the woman was not involved in the shooting.

Police say there was a toddler inside the home at the time of the shooting.
