Police say one man was seriously injured in a crash on Riverside, south of 71st Street Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened sometime before 3 p.m. Traffic was shut down on southbound Riverside while police cleared the scene of the crash, diverting traffic at 75th Street.
Cpl. Steve Wood said the black Nissan was heading north on Riverside and turning left when it was struck by the silver Honda going southbound.
The driver of the silver Honda, a 30-year-old man, was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The 19-year-old woman driving the black car was not seriously injured.
Cpl. Wood noted that neither of the drivers was wearing a seatbelt.
Police said no citations have been issued, pending further investigation.
