Employees from Cyclonic Valve Company put on Halloween costumes, then split into teams and raced to see who could fill backpacks with food the fastest.

Hungry children were the real winners.

They'll get those 500 backpacks as part of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma "Food For Kids" program, which sends food home with more than 48-hundred needy children every weekend.

This is the second year the valve manufacturing company has competed in this kind of contest.

"We just thought we'd try it on Halloween this year because [Halloween is] kind of a 'not get much work done' day anyway," John Graves of Cyclonic Valve Company said.

Food bank volunteers, in turn, judged the company's costume contest.
