A Tulsa man, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter after a 2010 crash, was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday.
On August 31, 2010, The SUV Cody Allen Zimmer was driving on Highway 11 crossed the center median and struck a car head-on, killing Charles Kytta III.
Blood test results showed that Zimmer's system contained several medications including the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, muscle relaxer Flexeril and sedative Ambien.
The 24-year-old Zimmer pleaded no contest to first degree manslaughter in September and was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years, with the first 10 years to be served in prison and the last five suspended. He'll also be given credit for time served.
