Tulsa's 13th-ranked men's soccer team battled Kentucky to a 0-0 tie on Wednesday night at the UK Soccer Complex in Lexington, Ky. TU moved to 7-5-2 on the season and 2-3-1 in Conference USA, while the Wildcats moved to 4-7-2 overall and 1-2-2 in the league.

"It was a game that we felt like we controlled from start to finish, but we just couldn't get a shot to go in," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "Their keeper made a couple big saves, but we combined well and had a number of good performances. Our back line was very disciplined and when you have that much possession it is very easy to lose discipline and they didn't. We attacked the whole game and we put everything into it, we just couldn't get one to go in."

The Golden Hurricane had a 17-10 lead in shots, including a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal, and a 11-2 lead in corner kicks.

Cristian Mata and Tony Rocha had a team-best five shots apiece, while Byron Knowles-Ramirez and Akeil Barrett each had three attempts. Cody Mumma returned to goal for the first time since Sept. 13 and logged all 110 minutes between the posts. He had one save for the shutout, his third on the year.

Tulsa will return to action on Saturday, October 26th against Marshall. Game time is set for 6:00 pm in Huntington, W.Va.
