'Secure Your ID' Day Held In West Tulsa

News On 6, the Better Business Bureau and Shredders Inc. hosted "Secure Your ID" Day - a free event held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 19. Residents could bring personal documents and information to Shredders Inc. to be destroyed and recycled.

Shredding sensitive information can help prevent identity theft. Each vehicle could bring up to two 30-gallon trash bags of papers to be shredded. Additional shredding was available at 14 cents a pound.

Shredders Inc. and the BBB gave away shredding machines and thumb drives. McGruff the crime fight dog was on hand for the event.

Shredders Inc. is located at 635 West 41st Street in Tulsa.
