Turnpike authorities in Oklahoma and Texas are planning work that will make things easier for drivers who regularly cross the Red River.
The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority plans to pass a resolution that will make Oklahoma PikePasses valid to use on toll roads in the Dallas area. Texas drivers will also be able to use their TollTags on all Oklahoma toll roads.
The board will vote at its monthly meeting on October 31.
The North Texas Tollway Authority passed a similar resolution Wednesday.
Drivers should be able to start using their PikePasses in the Dallas area by next fall.
