Bixby Wife Turns Husband In For Reportedly Molesting Minor Child

A Bixby man is in jail after his wife reportedly found lewd photos and videos of her husband molesting a child.

Matthew Todd Bartlett, 38, is being held in lieu of a $217,000 bond.

Bixby police say Barlett's wife came into the police station just before 3 a.m. Friday say she found the images on a computer at her residence. She recognized her husband's hand because of a "sore on his thumb," and also recognized a blanket in the background of one of the images or videos.

The wife turned over a hard drive to the police, giving them verbal permission to search it, the arresting officer says.

Police took the hard drive as evidence and went to the couple's home to arrest Bartlett. They took a photo of "a healing sore on his right thumb," according to the arrest and booking report.

He was booked on four complaints of lewd molestation of a minor under age 16, four counts of computer crimes and one count of procuring a minor to perform lewd acts.
