A Broken Arrow man was arrested Wednesday, accused of breaking into cars around town.

One victim reported a military backpack with a computer and a black bag with Army uniforms were stolen, along with his wallet. Another told police they had two cell phones and an orange purse stolen.

Surveillance video and GPS technology on one of the phones led police to 22-year-old Matthew Lawwill.

According to his arrest report, Lawwill admitted to breaking into the vehicles, but said he only kept the three phones and threw everything else out the window of his car. Police say he gave them directions to where he tossed the stolen items after he was arrested.

Lawwill was booked into the Tulsa County jail on three complaints of burglary of a vehicle and three complaints of possession of stolen property.
