A Tulsa man was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a pickup while crossing Admiral Boulevard on foot just before 2 a.m. Saturday during an overnight storm.
The driver told Tulsa police he couldn't avoid hitting the pedestrian, who was in the middle of the street just west of Harvard.
The injured man appeared to be in his 20s and was able to communicate to officers and medical personnel.
He was seen holding his arm, mid-section and head before being taken to the hospital.
Police say no alcohol was involved, and they did not expect any charges to be brought against the driver.
