Tulsa Police have released recordings of two 911 calls related to the September 1, 2013, fatal shooting at the Best Budget Inn at Admiral and Sheridan, involving an off-duty Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper.

Investigators say Michael Troy Swatosh, 25, of Tulsa was shot and killed by Trooper Sheldon Robinson, 45.

Robinson, a 16-year veteran, is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation by the OHP.

OHP Captain George Brown said Robinson saw Swatosh and another man with guns at the hotel and identified himself as a trooper.

Robinson "felt threatened at some point" and fired on Swatosh and the other man. Swatosh died, and the second man got away, according to Brown.
