A Tulsa man with gang ties was arrested for shooting into an occupied apartment building early Friday morning, according to police.
Jhermahnte Qwayshean Green, 22, was released from prison just eight weeks ago, Oklahoma Department of Corrections records show.
According to an arrest and booking report, officers responded to a "shots fired" call at an apartment complex in the 7800 block of South Utica Avenue.
Officers found a stolen vehicle and saw two men running away, the report says. One of the men was later located at the River Spirit Casino smoke shop about a quarter of a mile away.
A loaded .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol was found behind a storage container, the report says, and shell casings and bullets had been discharged from the weapon.
The booking report states Green has ties to the 53 Hoover Crips.
Green was arrested for shooting into an occupied dwelling and for the possession of a firearm after the commission of a felony.
He was convicted last year for pawning a stolen wedding set and gold teeth. He was released after 11 months in prison and given a five-year deferred sentence. He was released on July 22.
