Bixby Police Arrest Man For Choking Woman While She Held 2-Year-Old

A Bixby man is in jail following his arrest late Monday as police investigated a domestic assault complaint at a home in the 8400 block of East 132nd Street South.

According to jail records, a woman in the home told officers Michael Buttery, 39, had hit and choked her while she held her 2-year-old son.

The victim told Bixby Police that on the way home from a Tulsa casino, she and Buttery began arguing "over $100." During the argument, the victim stated Buttery "punched her in the chest and in the face, splitting her lip."

Buttery was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of domestic assault and battery by strangulation.

His bond was listed at $10,000 with a September 17 court appearance.
