TU Players Visit Collinsville Boy Recovering From Brain Surgery

Some members of the University of Tulsa football team became heroes for a 6-year-old Collinsville boy and his family.

Hurricane receivers Derek Patterson, Thomas Robberson and Jordan James made a surprise stop at the Pediatric ICU Wednesday.

The players, along with their strength and conditioning, coach wanted to brighten the day of first-grader Cale Gift. Cale had emergency brain surgery on Monday, and he's recovering so well. His doctors said he may get to go home Thursday.
