A Muldrow teen is in a Tulsa hospital in serious condition after crashing an all-terrain vehicle on Labor Day, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Christian Mayberry was driving a Polaris Ranger on County Road 4750 about five miles south of Muldrow at 9:16 a.m.

The 16-year-old was going too fast, went through a ditch on the left side of the road and was thrown about 12 feet from the ATV, a trooper's report states. He was first taken to Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith then transferred to Tulsa by Life-Flight.

Mayberry suffered head injuries, the collision report states. He was in apparently normal condition before the wreck.
