Two Tulsa companies have announced plans to add more than 70 jobs.
Mid-Con Energy Operating, the operating company for Mid-Con Energy Partners says they are adding 28 employees to its workforce.
Emerge Diagnostics is a medical technology firm. They plan to add 45 jobs.
The Tulsa Regional Chamber says the energy and high-tech fields are vital to the area's economic growth.
"The energy sector and high-tech fields are vitally important to economic growth," Justin McLaughlin, Tulsa Regional Chamber said. "Our regional economic development efforts continue to focus on these important areas and other targeted sectors."
"The news that Mid-Con and Emerge Diagnostics are creating jobs in northeast Oklahoma is great news," said Jonna Kirschner, executive director of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. "Oklahoma has a workforce that is highly skilled and trained, and companies are realizing that Oklahoma is a great place to do business."
Both companies say the new positions will be filled over the next few years.
