The Kellyville community will gather in memory of residents who lost their lives in a head-on collision Friday night. A prayer vigil is planned for 8 p.m. Monday, August 26 at the Kellyville High School football stadium.
Pastor Jason Hutsell of the Blue Bell Baptist Church will lead the service.
"We're going to have a prayer vigil and take up an offering for the family," Pastor Hutsell said Sunday. "Some of the family has attended our church for a while, so it's something our church is wanting to do to pull together and help with the unexpected costs of something like this."
Three generations of the same family were killed when police say a man crossed the center line of Highway 66 near the Creek County Speedway. Sue Frazier, 74; Vivian Henry, 51, and a 9-year-old boy whose name has not been released died on their way home from a shopping trip.
Vernon Bowles, Sue's boyfriend, was also killed.
David Ernst of Salina is in the Creek County Jail on four complaints of first degree manslaughter. Police say his condition at the time of the wreck is under investigation.
Hutsell said an account will be established Monday at the American Heritage Bank in Kellyville to help with funeral expenses. Services are pending through Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa.
