Rogers County deputies arrested a Verdigris crane operator on a drug complaint Friday night.
Deputies identify the crane operator as Camron Cook, 27, of Oklahoma City.
According to an arrest report, a safety officer at Terra Nitrogen in Verdigris went to use a portable restroom at about 9:15 p.m. when he saw Cook bent over the toilet with the lid closed. After Cook left the restroom, the safety officer found a white, powdery substance on the lid of the toilet, according to the report.
The safety officer notified an off-duty deputy who was working security at the site. The deputy roped off the area and did a field test on the powder which he says tested positive for methamphetamine.
After reading Cook his rights, the deputy said Cook denied using methamphemine. The report says Cook admitted to taking an oxycodone, even though he didn't have a prescription for it.
He told deputies he had two more pills in his lunchbox and deputies found them in a plastic bag there. Deputies arrested him for possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
While deputies were booking him into the Rogers County Jail, another deputy found Cook's backpack in the crane he'd been operating. Inside the deputy found a white styrofoam cup, a white bottle and a syringe, according to the report.
Deputies believe Cook used the cup, bottle and syringe to try to defeat urine tests, according to their report.
