As Oklahomans continue to enjoy cooler-than-usual temperatures, the threat of heavy rain results in flash flood potential for the next two days. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch in effect through Tuesday evening for portions of Oklahoma and Arkansas.

News On 6 WARN Team Meteorologist Alan Crone said storms forming north of Oklahoma will slowly sag southward during the next 24 to 36 hours.
"Due to recent heavy rainfall last week, the flash flood potential will be in the forecast for most of northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas for the short term," Crone said in his weather blog.

The severe weather threat is low Monday morning through midday. Monday evening into Tuesday morning, storms with some wind and hail issues may move into the area.
"Our main threat may eventually be the heavy rainfall potential due to saturated soils from earlier rains last week."
