A Creek County girl is out of the hospital Thursday for the first time in nearly four months.
Lauren Byard was seriously injured in the crash that killed her mother and caused her brother to lose his eyesight in one eye.
The 12-year-old's spleen ruptured and her liver had to be removed. Doctors initially said she would remain in a vegetative state, but after months of therapy, she was released Thursday.

"We are not going to know what to do without her, seeing her beautiful smiles every day, her giggles, and laughs, for sure. We're going to miss those," said Michelle, Lauren's nurse.
"They're very nice to me," Lauren said.
Lauren will be staying with her grandmother while her family tries to raise the money to repair their mobile home to a sterile enough environment where she can live.
Right now, it's not handicapped accessible, and doesn't even have central air.
