Police: Runaway Wheel Leads To Broken Arrow Expressway Crash

A crash closed the eastbound lanes of the Broken Arrow Expressway at Highway 169 just after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Video from Osage SkyNews 6 showed an SUV on its top and a car badly damaged.

It also showed firefighters helping with the clean-up. 

Tulsa Police tell News On 6 a car lost one of its wheels, causing the driver to stop in the middle of the highway. Police say an eastbound SUV collided with the stopped car. 

The driver told officers he had just left a tire shop where he had his tires rotated.

It's not clear exactly how many people were injured. 

The highway was reopened a short time later.
