Crews shut down the northbound lanes of Highway 169 north of 56th Street North, for a crash involving multiple cars for a short time Monday afternoon.

Those lanes re-opened just before 6 p.m., but the traffic was still slow going in that area.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two, possibly three, vehicles were involved in the collision and one is overturned in the roadway on the Bird Creek bridge. They said there are injuries, but have not given any details on how many people have been injured or how severely.

Several OHP units are en route and crews with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation are on the scene to help with traffic control.

All traffic going north is being diverted off at the 46th Street North exit.

A News On 6 crew is on the scene. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
