Bixby is working on a plan to help clear the city of storm debris.
Leaders are working to get approval from the state Department of Environmental Quality to set up a location where Bixby residents can drop off greenwaste.
The city doesn't have a solid waste division, so it doesn't have enough of its own workers or the proper equipment to pick up debris from individual homes and businesses.
The reason they were able to pick up debris after the 2007 ice storm was because of the assistance the city received from FEMA.
