Tulsa Police Officer Injured In Car Crash

A Tulsa Police officer was injured in a crash early Friday at Pine and Mingo.

Police say the westbound officer's cruiser hit a car crossing Pine just west of Mingo at about 7 a.m.  The officer's car then struck a light post.

The crash pinned the officer inside and it took firefighters about 20 minutes to get him out.

The driver of other car was also injured. EMSA took both to the hospital.

Police closed Pine in both directions while they investigated the crash.
