Natural gas service should be restored by Friday night to all the homes that lost it after a fluke fire in Oologah this week.
Lightning hit a transformer Tuesday evening, causing a live wire to fall onto a natural gas meter. That energized the pipeline causing fire to shoot from the ground along the line.
The fires prompted the evacuation of a number of homes.
Since then, ONG contractors have been working to replace damaged gas pipes.
ONG said, if crews aren't able to restore service Friday, they'll hook up portable Compressed Natural Gas to homes, until the rest of the line is in place.
