A Green Country man called 911 by accident and ended up landing himself and other suspected thieves behind bars.
The Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office said Cody Garrison is the one who pocket-dialed 911 right after committing a burglary with Payton Brewer last Friday night. The dispatcher listened as the two men discussed going back into the house they'd just hit.
Brewer was arrested after investigators say they found him trying to sell some jewelry he'd just stolen, but the other suspect, Garrison, remained on the street until he was arrested Tuesday night.
The sheriff's office said he and Brewer are connected to a dozen burglaries in the last month. They said the men have been targeting grieving families, burglarizing homes while the victims were at loved ones' funerals.

Deputies said when they tracked Garrison down, he was on drugs, so they weren't able to question him, so they did something a little unorthodox and went to newson6.com for help.
"We actually let him see your interview on TV last night, we let him watch that and let him actually hear the recording, and he just ducked his head and said, 'I done myself,'" Sheriff Joel Kerns told reporter Tess Maune. "He wasn't too messed up to understand that he had actually called 911 himself."
Garrison's girlfriend, Domonique Burnett, was also arrested for her involvement in the crimes. Kerns said they believe she was the getaway driver in some of the burglaries.
