The third consecutive sellout crowd at ONEOK Field saw the Drillers fall for a third straight time, dropping the series finale to San Antonio, 4-3 Friday night.
The Missions swept the three-game set, holding the Drillers to just five total runs in the three games. Friday night, it was the eighth inning that proved to be the Drillers' downfall.
San Antonio's Johan Limonta homered to start the inning and then three singles scored another run. Rocky Gale knocked an RBI double and Yeison Asencio scored on a wild pitch by Dan Houston as the fourth run of the inning.
Jeff Ibarra picked up the win for the Missions while Matt Stites picked up his 10th save of the year. Dan Houston took the loss for Tulsa, spoiling a solid outing by starter Christian Bergman.
Tulsa struck first in the fourth inning on an RBI double from Jayson Langfels that scored Kyle Parker. Parker led off the inning with a double.
The Drillers added another run in the bottom of the seventh when Langfels doubled and then came around to score on consecutive sacrifices.
After San Antonio's big eighth inning, the Drillers got a run back in the bottom of the frame with a solo home run from Tyler Kuhn. The Drillers put runners on first and second with two outs, but were unable to threaten again.
