Oklahoma Airman Returns Home After 18 Months Abroad

It's always nice when a soldier safely returns to the arms of loved ones.

After a year and a half of serving overseas in the Air Force, Airman Brandon Cody Johnson made his way back to Tulsa.

He was stationed in the United Kingdom, supporting efforts in Afghanistan. While he was away for a long time, the homecoming he received made up for lost time.

"It's just an incredible experience to be here right now. I can't really explain, because it's been so long since I've been here, just being overseas for a long time that I have. It just almost seems surreal being here right now," Johnson said.

Johnson will be returning to the UK in 28 days.
