An army of wheelbarrows, wagons and trucks helped move a Tulsa community garden to its new home.
Both children and adults were out in their gardening gloves at Kendall-Whittier Elementary Saturday.
A new home will be built on the property, so the entire garden has to be moved - plants and all.
At one point there were 20 volunteers helping out.
"And I expect more as the day goes on," said Kara Joy McKee, Kendall-Whittier Inc. "I have found so many caring people in the Kendall-Whittier neighborhood that really want to help.
"This garden teaches the community about growing their own food. And it's a great learning opportunity both for the kids who come out and the residents as well."
The George Kaiser Foundation helped the school find a new home for the garden, just around the corner.
