Demolition work begins Tuesday at the Vinita Service Plaza on the Will Rogers Turnpike.
It's part of a $14.5 million renovation project at the iconic Interstate 44 pit stop.
The bridge structure and arch will stay in place, but everything else will go, including the buildings on either side and the gas stations.
The plaza has been closed since early June and won't reopen until sometime next summer.
When it's finished, visitors will enjoy an updated McDonald's, a new Subway restaurant and a larger gas station.
