Tulsa Real Estate Agent Released After Judge Reduces Fatal Shooting Sentence

A Tulsa real estate agent convicted of killing a man in 2007 is being released from prison after a judge reduced her sentence Friday.

Susan Pryor was convicted of first degree manslaughter in 2009 and sentenced to 15 years in prison for the shooting death of Timothy Lannom. However, the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals overturned that sentence in 2011.

Pryor then pleaded guilty in 2012 and was sentenced to four years in prison with credit for time served.

The shooting happened at a condo in the 8400 block of South College on December 18, 2007. Prosecutors say Lannom was staying with Pryor because the power was out at his home because of the ice storm.

Pryor told police she shot Lannom because he was choking her.

In a judicial review Friday, June 21, 2013, Judge Tom Gillert changed her sentence to three years and five months in prison and seven months probation. Because she had already served that length of time, she will be released.
