Semi Hits Guardrail On Broken Arrow Overpass, Crashes Next To Street Below

A semi traveling westbound on a Creek Turnpike overpass struck a guardrail and crashed onto the roadway below on Wednesday morning.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper on the scene told News On 6 it's suspected the driver fell asleep before hitting the guardrail and continuing down an embankment, across 193rd East Avenue and up the embankment on the other side. It came to rest on the west side of the road.

Rogelio Yado, 44, of Eagle Pass, Texas, was admitted to a Tulsa hospital for observation.

The trailer was split in half and the batteries on the trailer were leaking, but crews were able to clean up the mess.
