Summertime means camp for a lot of kids, but for those with special needs, finding an appropriate camp can be a challenge.

Champions Special Ministries works with churches and organizations across the country to hold day camps for children and young adults with disabilities. This week, volunteers are holding a camp at the Memorial Drive Church of Christ.

"We consider ourselves to be a voice for kids with disabilities within our ministry, and we just want to speak honor and speak value to these kids with needs," said founder Alison Gromer.

The camp still has some open spots.
